About Flare.

Flare is a recruitment marketing specialist consultancy delivered and managed by me, Daniel Evans. I created Flare to provide support for recruitment marketers, and to use my experience to give businesses an opportunity to create strategies and tactics that engage sales teams, and provide measurable results. Whether you need a one-off project, or ongoing support, I'm here to ensure you get maximum return from your marketing investment.

My background.

I started my recruitment marketing career at Hays back in 2006, before the ‘08 recession, where my job was to create job adverts for magazines and newspapers. A million miles from how we see marketing today!

For the past 18 years I’ve worked in-house, and since 2012, I have built marketing functions from scratch, grown teams, managed P&Ls, and most importantly, delivered consistent value to the businesses I’ve worked with.

Client engagement, candidate attraction, and employer branding, I’ve (near enough) done it all. And I’ve always done it in a way that engages sales teams. That’s a key part of the job I love. Seeing the transformation of a business as it starts to engage in marketing, see results from marketing, then become a real champion of marketing.

I wanted to be a marketer since I was 17 (thanks to a business studies course at sixth form), and I couldn’t think of a better industry to do it in than recruitment.

I worked in recruitment marketing positions in-house from 2004 through to 2018, within multiple high-growth companies. I’ve been part of three due diligence processes that resulted in acquisition and investment, and I’ve also grown marketing teams from scratch through to global departments.
