Make choosing your next website supplier less of a gamble
As soon as you let people know you’re looking for a new supplier, your inbox is flooded with salespeople selling you the dream. The trouble is, everything looks shiny and new. But how do you know what’s right for you?
I’ve been there myself. Earlier in my career, I made a very hasty decision to change website suppliers without doing proper due diligence. I was sold the dream by a fantastic salesperson, and honestly, it came back to bite me. After that, I promised myself I’d never make the same mistake again.
That’s why I put together my own version of a balanced scorecard.
It’s helped me make decisions not based on gut instinct or because someone took me to lunch, but on the things that actually matter to me, to the team, and to the wider business.
This Website Scorecard is something I’ve now used multiple times I’ve shared it with others across the industry too. I’ve already pre-filled it with the key areas I think are most important, but it’s fully customisable. So if, for example, cost isn’t a big deal for you but support hours are, you can adjust the weightings to reflect that.
You can download the scorecard for free (obviously). It comes with simple instructions on how to use it but if you want help running through it, just give me a shout. I really believe this tool will help you make a better choice in finding the website supplier best suited to your specific needs. And it’s much better than just going in blind.
Good luck!
